Abstract

In the recent decades, the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) has undergone a remarkable transformation. This paper analyses China’s air power capabilities in the Western Theatre Command (WTC), the evolving infrastructure and the implications it holds for India. It aims to study the recent infrastructure development in the WTC. This development has far-reaching implications for India and has potential to alter the regional military balance of power. Therefore, understanding the evolving PLAAF infrastructure in the WTC and its implications for India is crucial for assessing the future challenges.
